Review:
These papers consist chiefly of lively letters Dr. Leopold Stieglitz had written to Kathryn and David Colton during the last few years of his life. The letters, most to Kathryn but a few to David, discuss their visits, health and family matters, life in Lake George and literature. Stieglitz appears to have been quite a reader and his letters to Kathryn are full of his candid thoughts on the histories, biographies, classics, and current novels that he was reading. He suggests books for her and they even seem to exchange books as gifts. These papers also include a number of photographs and portraits of Dr. Stieglitz.
