Review:
These papers consist chiefly of personal letters of James W. Husted and his immediate family. Includes a number of letters James William Husted Jr. received from his parents while he was a student at Phillips Andover Academy, 1912-1914; letters James W. Husted Jr. sent to his father, first as a student at Yale, and later while serving in the army during the First World War; and correspondence of James W. Husted Jr. with his wife, Alice, and his brothers Robert and James, circa 1937-1938.
Review:
The papers also include a scrapbook containing maps and other documents related to the service of James W. Husted Jr. in the army during World War I (15th Field Artillery, 2nd Division); documents concerned with the settlement of the estate of James William Husted Sr.; photographs, diplomas, honorary certificates, and other family memorabilia.
