Papers consist chiefly of letters related to the business affairs of Frank L. Dodge, proprietor of a general store that was situated in Ashland, Greene County, New York. The letters were mostly from wholesalers, jobbers, etc. that sold a wide array of goods and services. These papers also include a number of invoices detailing goods that were purchased by Dodge. A few items were addressed to E. B. Dodge, father of Frank L. Dodge.
